Chapter 6: “Body Healthy, All Needs Naturally Exist”
Fu Nanzhou didn’t hear what was said on the other end of the phone, but he clearly heard the sentence: “We’re not sleeping together.”
His thick brows lifted slightly. He remained calm, as if he hadn’t heard anything at all.
Lu Xi, on the other hand, felt extremely guilty. Like a little quail, she shrank her neck and hurried into the bathroom with her clothes.
She didn’t even dare look at Fu Nanzhou as she passed him.
A low, pleasant laugh escaped Fu Nanzhou’s throat. He couldn’t help touching his own face—was he really as intimidating as Jiang Yi said? So much so that the little girl wouldn’t even look at him?
Seeing her phone left on the cabinet, Fu Nanzhou walked over and picked it up.
At the same time, on the other side of the call
Chu Nan called “hello” several times. When he tried again, the call had already gone through—he had likely been blocked.
He instantly cursed in anger. “Lu Xi, you little—”
The words “b*tch” almost slipped out, but he stopped immediately when he saw Lu Yao approaching.
“Ah Nan, Xi Xi still hasn’t answered?” Lu Yao was anxious.
Chu Nan took a deep breath and comforted her. “Take care of Guoguo first. I’ll go find her. There aren’t many places she could go. I’ll check one by one. Don’t worry, Xi Xi is your only sister—I won’t let anything happen to her.”
Lu Yao was moved to tears. “Ah Nan… I’m sorry. Xi Xi is causing you trouble again.”
“What are you saying? When I married you, I promised I’d be good to you—and to everyone you care about.”
After comforting her a few more words, Chu Nan quickly drove out.
But after driving a short distance, he opened an app—and a cold, sinister smile appeared on his face.
Inside the villa
Lu Xi was still marveling at how big Jiang Yi’s uncle’s bathroom was.
She estimated it to be at least thirty square meters. Even the bathtub was huge.
She kind of wanted to soak in it—but since she was a guest, she didn’t dare be careless.
After confirming the door was locked, Lu Xi still felt uneasy. After hesitating for a long time, she slowly took off her clothes.
Barefoot, she stepped under the shower, struggling for a long time before finally finding the smart system switch.
When the warm water came down, it felt amazing. Lu Xi decided that when she made a lot of money in the future, she would install this kind of system too.
She applied shampoo while glancing nervously at the door.
At her sister’s house, she was always anxious while showering. Once, the lock had broken, and even though she had clearly told her sister and brother-in-law she was bathing, her brother-in-law had still “accidentally” walked in. She had nearly lost her soul from fright.
After that, she instinctively kept looking at the door whenever she showered.
Fu Nanzhou had finished drying his hair and was reviewing documents on the bed.
He occasionally glanced at his watch. Lu Xi had been in there for half an hour—was she still washing or had she fainted?
He put down the files, stood up, and walked to the bathroom. Knocking lightly on the glass door, he said, “Lu Xi?”
“J-just a moment!” Lu Xi replied hurriedly, quickly fastening her inner clothing.
Five minutes later, she took a deep breath and opened the door, holding her arms nervously.
Fu Nanzhou glanced at her, his eyes slightly darkening.
The girl’s cheeks were flushed and moist. Especially her pink lips—slightly parted like a tempting cherry, as if waiting to be picked.
Fu Nanzhou stood up. “Lu Xi, come here.”
Her heart tightened instantly—alarm bells ringing in her mind.
Is it happening?!
Fu Nanzhou suddenly chuckled. “Come dry your hair.”
Lu Xi blinked, confused. “Dry my hair?”
“Otherwise what did you think?” he asked teasingly.
Lu Xi felt extremely embarrassed and didn’t dare respond.
She walked over. “Fu… Uncle Fu, I can do it myself.”
When she reached out, Fu Nanzhou raised the hairdryer above her head.
“Can you reach it?” he asked lightly.
Lu Xi: “……”
Is this how Jiang Yi usually gets along with her uncle?
He really likes teasing people.
“Sit down,” Fu Nanzhou said with a smile.
Lu Xi sat obediently. Warm air from the hairdryer blew over her head while his fingers lightly combed through her hair.
It felt unfamiliar… and strange.
When her hair was wet, it was fine—but as it dried, his touch became more obvious, like tiny sparks brushing her scalp. Her face grew warmer and warmer.
The large room was quiet, so the sound of the hairdryer felt unusually loud.
Then suddenly—the sound stopped.
Lu Xi’s heart jumped again.
“It’s done,” Fu Nanzhou said, his voice deep and magnetic, eyes fixed on her face.
She really was easy to embarrass—her face had been red the entire time.
Jiang Yi probably didn’t even know what embarrassment was.
How did such opposite personalities become friends?
Fu Nanzhou went to put away the hairdryer, while Lu Xi remained stiffly seated, still nervous.
“Aren’t you coming to bed?” he asked.
Lu Xi’s scalp tingled. Her hands clenched tightly at her sides, gripping her pajama pants.
“Um… I want to ask… will we… do that?”
She forced herself to ask.
Fu Nanzhou nodded calmly. “Yes.”
Lu Xi froze in shock.
He was so certain.
Fu Nanzhou lifted the blanket and lay down. “I’m thirty, healthy, and all normal needs are there.”
Then he patted the space beside him. “Come here.”
Lu Xi stood frozen.
She regretted the marriage impulsively.
She had never thought marriage meant that.
Just as she panicked—
Fu Nanzhou suddenly laughed. “Hahaha…”
Lu Xi: “……”
What’s so funny?!
Jiang Yi said her uncle was cold and serious and never smiled—this is clearly a different person!
Fu Nanzhou said, “I won’t tease you anymore. I don’t know you well enough yet, so we can’t do that kind of thing. Let’s start with sleeping together first.”
After a pause, he added, “Just sleeping.”
Then again, “Pure sleeping.”
And again, “Not a verb.”
After three explanations, Lu Xi finally cautiously walked over.
Actually, if it was just sleeping, they didn’t need to share a bed—but she didn’t dare say it.
Fu Nanzhou saw her tension and stood up with the documents. “I still have work. I’ll sleep in the study.”
As soon as he left, Lu Xi finally relaxed.
Fu Nanzhou returned to the study, stood by the window, and exhaled deeply.
Was it the heat of summer? Why did he feel unusually restless tonight?
Outside the villa
Chu Nan’s car had been parked for a long time.
Earlier, while Lu Xi was showering, he had installed a tracking app on her phone. Now he could trace her location wherever she went.
This was a wealthy district in the capital—ordinary people couldn’t live here.
How did Lu Xi end up here?
Did she latch onto a rich man?
Impossible.
Lu Xi was innocent but not easy to fool—unlike Lu Yao, who he could easily coax into bed.
So why was Lu Xi here?
Chu Nan narrowed his eyes, got out of the car, and pressed the doorbell of the villa.
