Chapter 32: Professional Escaper
Chiyao ran alongside her outside the fence, shouting as they ran, “Don’t look back!”
Behind them, the orcs—some dead, some barely alive—painted a scene too horrifying to glance at.
Xiao Zhan stood there dumbfounded. Midnight nudged him, “What’s wrong? Scared? Regretting it?”
“What am I scared of? What would I regret? None of your business!”
He turned his head, trying his best not to see the gruesome scene.
Luo Luo might not be good at much, but when it came to running away, she was a professional.
Amid the chaos, she leapt and darted around, leaving many orcs far behind.
The wind whistled past her ears as she reached the entrance, where she saw three handsome beastmen and two adorable little ones.
She breathed a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness I’m still alive… ah~”
Before she could finish her sentence, someone grabbed her.
Turning her head, she came face-to-face with a bloodthirsty maw, fangs glinting in the cold light, reflecting her current state of disarray.
Terrified, she curled up into a ball. “Oh, mother… this time I’m really dead.”
Little White, Little White, save me!
The system yawned: You won’t die.
“Huh? I’m the protagonist?”
No, it’s just that everyone here likes you.
“Li… likes me?”
Just as Luo Luo was puzzled, the big guy in front of her suddenly transformed into a beastman.
A two-meter-eight lion beastman stepped forward, introducing himself: “Hello, beautiful female. My name is Tyson.”
He paused, then added, “Wanna mate?”
His deep, bass-like voice was strangely alluring.
Luo Luo nervously sized him up. Not ugly, maybe even a little handsome.
“I… I already have twelve beastmen husbands.”
It wasn’t that she didn’t want more—it was just too many to handle.
The lion beastman chuckled lowly, “I only asked about mating, didn’t say anything about a relationship.”
Luo Luo gaped. Well, well, this big guy was a player—just looking for fun without responsibility.
“Th-This… doesn’t seem appropriate.”
“What’s inappropriate? What’s wrong? You’re willing, I’m happy—you’re happy, I’m happy.”
“Maybe… you should find someone else,” Luo Luo said softly, lowering her head, unable to meet his gaze.
Tyson’s dark eyes flickered with red. “What did you say? Say it again.”
Luo Luo shivered and instinctively bolted.
She barely ran two steps before he grabbed her by the neck. “Are you rejecting me?”
Killing intent blazed in Tyson’s eyes. No female had ever refused him.
And now a level-0 newbie like Luo Luo dared to look down on him—how dare she?
“No, no,” Luo Luo waved her head frantically. “It’s… it’s me who’s not good enough for you.”
“You don’t need to be good enough. Just cooperate with me later.”
He grabbed her arm and dragged her toward the forest behind them.
Stumbling along, Luo Luo saw corpses littering the ground.
Many were already dead, some missing limbs, barely clinging to life.
Her face went pale. Level-9 beastmen were terrifying.
In an instant, half the orcs had been wiped out, and just a moment ago, she had barely escaped being strangled by the spider beast in the arena.
The gap between them was enormous; she dared not resist further.
“Tyson, long time no see.”
A tiger beastman appeared a short distance ahead.
“Xiao Zhan? How did you get in here?” Luo Luo asked instinctively.
“You know each other?” Tyson’s displeasure was clear. These two flirting in front of him—who did they think they were?
Luo Luo stared at the tiger beastman for a while, then shook her head. “I don’t know him.”
He resembled Xiao Zhan slightly, but a closer look revealed otherwise.
Xiao Zhan’s exterior was cold, but his eyes held softness. This man radiated nothing but killing intent, arrogance, and pride.
His neck nearly reached the sky, completely disregarding even the lion beastman.
Most importantly, Xiao Zhan was still outside the fence, squinting, thinking who knows what.
Tyson glared at the tiger beastman. “Move aside. Good dogs don’t block the way.”
The tiger beastman raised his middle finger, then his index finger, shaking them.
“This female is mine.”
“I saw her first. First come, first served, right?” Tyson retorted.
“Hahaha,” the tiger beastman laughed, clutching his stomach. “You really like eating what others have already eaten, huh?”
“What do you mean? You two have something going on?”
Tyson glared at Luo Luo as if he wanted to eat her.
She was innocent—she had already told him she had twelve beastmen husbands.
He said it didn’t matter before, yet now his gaze was murderous. Hypocrite!
Still, she truly didn’t know the tiger beastman. “No, I don’t know him.”
The tension between Tyson and the tiger beastman thickened. Sensing a fight was about to break out, Luo Luo quickly wriggled free and ran far away.
“Fight your own fight. Don’t involve me!” she shouted at Tyson.
Tyson turned to chase her, but the tiger beastman blocked him. Without another word, the two clashed.
In an instant, the world seemed to darken.
The once-clear sky seemed torn apart by an invisible hand.
Lead-gray clouds surged from all directions, rolling and stacking, covering the entire sky.
The clouds were dark as iron, edges glowing with an eerie blood-red light, as if the heavens were smeared with ink and blood.
A fierce wind rose from the ground, howling like a demon.
The valley shook in the storm, as if the apocalypse had arrived.
“Roar—”
Tyson howled into the wind, shrouded in darkness.
“Die!”
The tiger beastman stomped, shaking the ground. Boulders tumbled through the valley, colossal trees fell like dominoes.
Luo Luo clutched her head and rolled aside. These were both level-9 beastmen; if they fought, it was terrifying.
To survive, she quickly dug a hole in the ground and jumped in. The others weren’t so quick; they were caught in the slaughter of the two titans.
All the orcs became victims of Tyson and the tiger beastman.
The arena, once a river of blood, had become a living hell.
The remaining orcs were swept into the black storm, disappearing from the world.
Chiyao couldn’t find Luo Luo and angrily attacked the fence again, bleeding heavily.
Midnight and Xiao Zhan couldn’t calm him, so they dragged him aside, holding him down.
“Stupid ox, don’t move,” Xiao Zhan warned.
As the lion and tiger beastmen fought more intensely, almost everyone in the arena was caught in it—none survived.
To the two, it was just a sparring match, fun and games.
For everyone else, it was deadly.
Suddenly, a handful of unknown powder was thrown into Tyson’s eyes, almost making him fall.
The tiger beastman seized the chance, overwhelming Tyson. The level-9 lion beastman was killed.
Afterwards, the tiger beastman sat cross-legged, absorbing energy.
Moments later, he stood, full of power. He had advanced to a level-10 beastman.
Level-10 was max level; no one could surpass him.
Luo Luo, still unaware of what had happened outside, quietly stayed in the hole.
Suddenly, a huge hand reached into the hole, lifting her out.
The tiger beastman grinned mischievously. “The honorable Princess Luo Luo, long time no see.”
Seeing her stunned expression, he raised an eyebrow. “Don’t recognize me? Cough, cough. Let me introduce myself—I am Xiao Ba.”
Her lost memories suddenly awakened. Luo Luo’s eyes turned cold. “You’re Xiao Zhan’s brother?”
