<CHAPTER 12>
Darkness was embedded at the very center as if a hole had been punched straight through it.
The source of all this chaos that had driven the demons to raise their weapons and rush outside.
It was the ‘Error’ that spat out bugs.
Thanks to that, my win rate had risen to 99%.
What did it matter if the situation was not on my side.
‘You just have to flip the board.’
I squeezed out the last of my holy power and formed a holy spike in my grasp.
The Bug Black Widow, having taken Roakin’s killing intent in my stead, could not immediately rise.
Roakin looked at me as I stood against it and curled his lips savagely.
“Think carefully. Do you really believe you stand a chance against me?”
“As long as I know your weakness, I have plenty of chances.”
“Do I look like someone who makes weaknesses?”
I nodded vigorously.
“Yeah. Your weakness is right here.”
I pointed my thumb at my chest.
“Me.”
For some reason, that bastard had said it with his own mouth that he needed me.
Whether it was for information or as a disposable chess piece.
‘That means I have to stay alive, right?’
In the meantime, the Black Widow, having regained its senses, pulled out a forearm-sized venomous stinger from its mouth and charged at me.
I had to kill that thing to achieve what I wanted, but unfortunately, I did not have the ability to do so right now.
Instead, I took a step back, discarded my only weapon—the holy spike—and spread my arms as if waiting for death.
I was not afraid.
Because—
—Crack!
Roakin could handle it effortlessly in my place.
The giant spider’s body split cleanly in half, and Roakin emerged from between the severed halves.
Standing there drenched in black fluid, he looked at me.
I raised my chin at him deliberately.
“See? Am I still not your weakness?”
His killing intent boiled fiercely, but it no longer mattered.
I would never see him again.
Just before the Black Widow’s last breath was completely cut off, I barely managed to land the finishing blow.
‘Got it.’
The legs that had been twitching around the holy spike embedded in its body finally stopped.
The final 1% of victory was at last filled.
[ Bug ‘Black Widow’ defeated.]
[‘Spatial Movement Scroll (S-Grade)’ is activated.]
‘Heh, taste my perfect kill-steal!’
I turned away from Roakin and pulled out the scroll hidden inside my chest.
Fortunately, although he had changed my clothes, he was not such a perverse degenerate as to check my undergarments.
I silently thanked Lamia’s generous size for providing storage space and whatever sliver of conscience Roakin possessed as I faced him again.
An uneasy feeling tickled my stomach, but wherever I went, it would be better than here.
As expected, the moment Roakin saw what was in my hand, his pupils contracted sharply.
The fluster on his handsome face soon turned into fury.
Seeing his face perfectly twisted like that for the first time filled me with immense satisfaction.
Mocking that crack, I crushed the scroll without hesitation.
Large glowing lines intersected in geometric shapes and began spreading beneath my feet.
“Lamia.”
His hand reached out too late and would never catch me.
That was why I could smile even on a battlefield splattered with bug flesh.
I smiled brightly, like a child who had just received a Christmas present.
“Good riddance, you perverted sadistic bastard!”
With him as the last sight, my world flipped.
Ugh.
Perhaps because of the scroll’s aftereffect, my stomach churned terribly.
Before I could calm my nausea, a salty scent stabbed into my nostrils.
I leaned against a railing as if clinging to it and looked around.
“What? Why hasn’t anything changed?”
The sea stretched out in all directions.
If there was any difference, perhaps the water was less murky.
‘Damn it, I thought I’d finally step on some land, and it’s another ship!’
I could not yet say whether this was fortunate, but at least it did not seem to be Roakin’s ship.
It was far larger, and unlike his entirely black and gloomy vessel, this one had blue trees rising on deck and a red pirate flag hanging high, giving it a somewhat colorful appearance.
‘W-wait, a pirate flag?’
Looking closer, a skull pierced through
