Prologue
‘How did I end up in this kind of relationship with the villain?’
Rubiana stared blankly at the handsome man before her.
A lump of guilt-like doubt suddenly raised its head.
Even if it was due to an unavoidable contract, she was still the heroine. And yet, she couldn’t shake off the sense of debt that came with being in this kind of relationship with the villain.
‘It was a choice I had to make to survive.’
It was supposed to be nothing more than a contract to exchange magic, a choice to become the proper heroine.
Nothing more, nothing less.
Rubiana’s thoughts could not go any further.
The man’s massive body, wrapped tightly around hers, was relentlessly pressing in, and the magic flowing into her through him was dizzyingly intoxicating.
“Ah… Your Highness, D–… Duke, slowly…!”
She tried to push against his firm body, but it was like trying to move a boulder—he only pressed in deeper.
With every motion he made, Rubiana’s body shook again and again.
It had felt like they started slow and gentle at first.
But as their body heat rose and their breathing grew heavier, his movements became rougher—guided purely by raw, animalistic instinct.
Without stopping his hips, the man lowered his head to gaze at her.
His eyes, burning like flames, were strangely calm.
It almost felt as if the owner of the body plunging into her and the master of those serene eyes were two different people.
“…Elion.”
“Yes?”
His voice was as low and steady as his gaze.
Not understanding, Rubiana looked up at him with wide eyes and asked.
The man answered not with words, but with a savage movement. His body, deep inside her, moved in a way that messily scraped at her insides.
A helpless, high-pitched sound escaped Rubiana’s lips.
Tears pooled at the corners of her eyes and slid down her cheeks.
After silently tormenting her for a while, the man finally spoke again.
“I told you to call me by my name.”
“Ah…”
All for something like that? Clicking her tongue softly, Rubiana pouted before speaking in a voice thick with moisture.
“…Elion. Satisfied?”
“That’s right. Good girl.”
The calmness in Elion’s eyes softened, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
He gently stroked Rubiana’s hair—like one would pet a cherished companion animal.
But the way his body plunged into her was so rough that she couldn’t help but think the smile and gentle touch were nothing but pretense.
Elion tapped lightly at her pouting lips.
It was the look of a child playing with a toy.
‘I’m not your toy, you know?’ she thought, ready to say it sharply.
But before the words could leave her throat, her lips were swallowed by his.
“Mmph…!”
She was startled and breathless at first, but that feeling quickly faded.
Her tension melted away under Elion’s skilled kiss.
The endless waves of his desire surging from above made her shiver uncontrollably.
The stimulation he gave was sweet, and the magic he poured into her was intoxicating—it was enough to fill both her body and her heart.
‘…I don’t know anymore.’
She wasn’t sure if this was truly okay, or what she really wanted anymore.
By now, it was hard to imagine a life without Elion’s sweet stimulation and intoxicating magic.
A life without Elion felt impossible.
“You’re not focusing again, are you?”
He had caught her drifting thoughts.
Sucking at the side of her neck, Elion began to bite gently.
“Mmh… not there…!”
It was her most sensitive spot, and also the one that would cause trouble all day if it was marked with a red bruise.
She had to stop him.
Rubiana cupped his cheeks with both hands, pulling him toward her and pressing her lips to his.
It was a kiss that told him she would focus only on him now—if he would just stop tormenting her.
As their lips pressed together, their breaths mingled, and heat flowed into Rubiana’s body.
That heat slid down her throat, through her core, and spread to the tips of her toes.
“Mmh…”
A natural, breathless moan escaped, vibrating in the air.
‘Yes… this was inevitable…’
Through the hazy edges of her mind, she suddenly remembered the day she first opened her eyes in this world.
