Chapter 73
Part-Time Job ②
“This is a complimentary tropical juice. For couples.”
What the hell is this idiot bringing?
A huge beer mug was filled with a transparent drink. Two heart-shaped straws were stuck in it—it was seriously meant for couples.
“Um… we haven’t ordered this yet.”
“Don’t worry. It’s just water inside.”
“Then why go through all this trouble to serve it like this!?”
I was wondering if such a clear drink even existed.
Seiya continued.
“Ladies, please use the pink straw. You can enjoy a sweet, fruity taste. Gentlemen, please use the blue straw. You can enjoy the sharp sting of wasabi.”
“How do you even lower the rating of a staff member?”
“Useless. My performance is better than the manager’s, so my rating won’t drop.”
What kind of restaurant is this?
Tsukiyo put her lips on the pink straw. Her soft lips accidentally came into my line of sight.
“It’s true, it’s sweet. Maybe there’s sugar at the tip of the straw. How about you, Taiyo?”
“How about… it’s wasabi! I almost put it in my mouth! And why the hell would Seiya do something like this…?”
“Half of it is to encourage a friend, the other half is jealousy over your cute little sister being ‘taken’.”
I couldn’t see the first half at all… and I didn’t take anyone.
Tsukiyo and I ordered the usual hamburger set and watched Seiya at work. By the way, we had another glass of water prepared.
“Welcome! This way, please!”
Seiya served with a beaming smile. From the perspective of a friend, it was one of those seven wonders of the world-level strange scenes.
Seiya’s part-time job had special permission from the school. If his grades dropped, he would be forced to quit, but he had been first in the year for a long time, so they couldn’t make him quit.
“Um, if it’s okay…”
“Thank you, but I’m working and cannot accept it. I’m sorry.”
He was often given contact information by female customers. Seeing scenes like that really made me realize how many customers came just for Seiya.
“Geez! Stop looking at my brother all the time… talk to me too!”
“Ah, sorry, sorry.”
“I understand you love my brother, but…”
“That’s a misleading way to put it. It’s a hassle to deny it now, so fine.”
While we were talking, Seiya was approached by a busy-looking middle-aged man. It was probably the manager. Kind, but somewhat unreliable.
“Watching again!”
And once again, I ended up getting scolded…
