Chapter 15 …
“Hey, they said that guy has been quiet until now. Why would he start all of a sudden?”
“That’s what I’m saying. Honestly, it’s the first time I’ve ever been impressed watching someone fight.”
“That’s true. I even wondered if he was really human. How can his body move like that?”
Dohyeon scratched his head, watching them quickly move on as if they didn’t really expect that.
‘But he is Kaiser.’
Was this a matter of perception? To them, Kaiser seemed like a figure from ancient times—or even a ghost. Judging by how they couldn’t recognize him despite the obvious name, it was clear.
Being complimented for looking like Kaiser felt strange, but Dohyeon shrugged it off and looked elsewhere.
‘As expected, it’s gone.’
It was gone. The weapons of the goblins he had been treating like his own until just a moment ago. They had disappeared along with the goblins’ deaths.
This was due to the system that only allowed ownership of weapons that dropped in the loot.
‘Of course, shortcuts wouldn’t work.’
Even though the weapon restrictions had been lifted and he had used his skills, hoping the drops might still work was futile. It made sense from a balance perspective. Wanting more would have been greedy.
More importantly…
‘Status screen.’
[Player: Kaiser]

[HP: 850 / 900]
[MP: 150 / 200]
[Stamina: 140 / 230]

Max Affection from the Start?
First Slayer
[Stats]
<Strength: 5 (+22)> <Agility: 5 (+20)>
<Stamina: 5 (+19)> <Senses: 5 (+18)>
<Mana: 5 (+18)>
Remaining Points: 21
He had leveled up three times at once, reaching level 4. It was a huge gain for just one hunt.
‘They said it’s easy until you graduate from the beginner city… and they weren’t lying.’
Since the real challenge only started at level 12, it made sense that the difficulty was low before then.
‘Hmm. Just looking at it makes me feel accomplished.’
Who could believe this was a level 4 status screen? Every stat was over 15, and there were still 21 unallocated points.
Dohyeon didn’t stop there and boldly invested his points.
‘Strength 9, Agility 8. The rest into Senses.’
While he wasn’t restricted by class, the immediate weapon at his disposal was melee. Besides, his foundation was always the sword. Planning to base his build on swords, Strength and Agility were top priority. Stamina and Senses came second. He chose to invest in Senses.
‘Agility and Senses go together.’
Senses amplified the five senses. It helped the body adapt more easily and enhanced dexterity—a secondary stat. The rule of thumb was to raise Senses at least partially when increasing Agility.
[Player: Kaiser]
[Level: 4]
[HP: 790 / 900]
[MP: 170 / 200]
[Stamina: 120 / 230]
[Class: Last Adventurer <Apostle of Kashiyar>]

[Stats]
<Strength: 14 (+22)> <Agility: 13 (+20)>
<Stamina: 5 (+19)> <Senses: 9 (+18)>
<Mana: 5 (+18)>
Remaining Points: 0
Thus was born his updated status screen. Stamina seemed slightly low compared to other stats.
‘Stamina is important, but…’
If Stamina hit 0, he would become exhausted, and pushing further could freeze the character. Later, items could boost Stamina recovery, but for now, higher Stamina was beneficial. More Stamina meant faster hunting and faster growth. More HP was also always good.
But…
‘I don’t really need it right now.’
Thanks to the legendary title First Slayer, all stats were boosted by 10, compensating for his low Stamina. Plus, the Necklace of the Blood Pact from Charlie increased Strength, Agility, and Stamina further. The necklace alone added 7 stat points. But its true effect lay elsewhere.
‘The increase in attack and movement speed is better than expected.’
Though just 5%, the difference was noticeable. Every minor motion, the delay before and after attacks—all were significantly reduced. That meant faster recovery and fewer chances of being caught off-guard. It also made dealing with ranged enemies easier.
This was why Dohyeon charged in boldly.
‘With these stats, there’s no way I can’t defeat them.’
Even Dohyeon couldn’t have defeated ten goblins alone with only 5 in every stat. Even if possible, it would be inefficient. But with his current stats, he was confident he could handle them even if his party left.
‘Still, being in a party is definitely convenient.’
It was true—the more support, the easier the fight. With less to worry about and aggro distributed, they could dominate unopposed. Killing fifteen goblins took less than ten minutes, yet the experience remained unchanged—a sweet deal.
‘Not bad for a first hunt.’
The Shield Master stood out. His timing for using Bash to control aggro or interrupt attacks was impressive. His judgment was good, probably from experience with other games or thorough preparation.
‘I don’t know his traits or abilities, but his aggro management is top-tier.’
Even without special skills, he controlled things perfectly. Likely, his traits and unique ability helped the tank role.
‘The others aren’t bad either…’
Though Migan Ddakdae made some mistakes at first, he soon settled and shot accurately. Yubin-kkung wasn’t aggressive, but her hit rate was high. Her Mana Bolts were visually larger and more impressive than standard ones, making hits easier.
‘Party luck is pretty good.’
They had only joined to make the hunt faster, and the outcome wasn’t bad.
“Wow, level 4 already.”
“Wow… but Kaiser, why is your damage so high?”
“Did you summon a Mythical God?”
Dohyeon closed his status screen as his party commented. He shook his head at their timing.
“Because of my traits. And I got lucky with the title.”
“Wow… even got a title? No wonder you were unstoppable during the tutorial.”
“Hey, didn’t you see the goblin massacre? What’s there to say?”
“You’re gonna be a ranker later, right? We should get close now!”
Their awed reactions were genuine—not flattery. Though he had a rare title and combat skill, they didn’t assume he would become a ranker. A year ago, maybe. But after 1.5 years in God of Survival, top-ranked players were nearly impossible to surpass.
‘So that’s why it’s the traits.’
Shield Master finally understood. The reason Dohyeon could manipulate goblins’ weapons as if they were his own. Only a Weapon Master trait could let someone use all weapons in the main game. Even then, it wouldn’t increase damage—so the combat-related god and title explained it.
‘Which god could it be? Not a Mythical God… maybe a god that buffs early-game damage, like Yeopo?’
Shield Master had studied the god summoning guide carefully before investing over 500 cards to summon a hero god. But in the end, it didn’t matter.
‘The world is wide, and there are many strong people.’
He had felt confident after raising his affection, but now faced an immense wall. Though he realized he’d been a small frog in a well, he didn’t feel frustrated. The game was for fun, not stress. He simply wanted to party with friends and eventually clear raid bosses.
After these thoughts, Shield Master lifted his shield.
“Alright, full HP. Let’s go hunting again.”
“Yeah!”
“Let’s go!”
Migan Ddakdae, Yubin-kkung, and Shield Master looked at Dohyeon as if awaiting his decision. He nodded.
“Yes. Let’s go.”
“Let’s level up fast!”
“Shall we take ten each this time?”
“Yes, sounds good.”
“Really? I was joking… but okay. Awesome.”
“Shield, you heard him? Let’s sweep them all. We have the ultimate weapon, Kaiser.”
Dohyeon chatted casually with his party as they set out for prey. Everything was different from his solo days in Demrock.
‘I wonder what the others are doing now. Are they still fighting?’
He smiled, recalling them. Fighting was always consistent—so much so that Bora would discuss dungeons with him like it was routine. What was once daily life was now a memory.
‘Well, we’ll see them someday.’
Being busy in the army left no time for thoughts, but today he found himself thinking of his comrades.
Several hunts later, everything went smoothly. No, not just smoothly—it was one-sided.
“Uh… Kaiser, you’re not in danger, right?”
“Uh, behind…? No. Hmm.”
“Wow…”
Dohyeon seemed to have eyes at the back of his head, dodging perfectly and managing aggro even against groups—a sight beyond mere ‘smoothness.’
Thanks to him, the party could hunt at least ten goblins efficiently.
“6-minute clear? Seriously?”
“Wow, this time 4 minutes. The hunting speed is insane.”
The speed exceeded that of killing just five goblins normally and kept accelerating. Higher stats from leveling and growing familiar with Dohyeon’s abnormal combat style sped things up drastically. Facing ten, then twelve, then thirteen goblins…
“Let’s try fifteen each.”
“Still, not much difference. Kaiser’s too strong.”
“We’re starting to hunt more easily too.”
Eventually, they gathered fifteen or more goblins per hunt.
[Quest ‘Goblin Cleanup’ completed.]
[Reward: 80 Silver and experience.]
[Quest ‘Collect Goblin Skins’ completed.]
[Reward: 86 Silver, Goblin Leather Belt, and experience.]
“Done! Cleared everything!”
“Level just right too.”
“Nice, record time!”
The final goblin group was cleared in 3 minutes 57 seconds—a phenomenal record. The Goblin Leather Belt reward was usable at his current level.
[Goblin Leather Belt]
[Grade: Normal]
[Description: A belt made from goblin leather by Arde’s master tailor. No special effects but quite sturdy.]
[Level Requirement: 4]
[Wear Limit: None]
[Physical Defense: 34]
[Magic Resistance: 10]
-Stamina +1
-Tradable
‘Right. This is normal.’
Previous rewards were exceptional; at this level, this was standard. Though a bit underwhelming after getting premium items before, it was usable for now.
Dohyeon equipped it and opened the party window. It was their biggest gain so far.
