“Please wait a moment. I’ll contact the Master for you.”
After a short while, the staff member returned, handing over a document.
“If you wish to meet the Master in person, you must sign this and pay an advance.”
At his words, a bright expression spread across Lucy’s face.
“So, when can I meet him?”
Lucy skimmed the document marked as a contract while asking.
“It just so happens that he’s willing to come here now,” the staff replied.
Lucy was slightly surprised.
“Come here? Right now?”
“Yes. Time and place don’t matter much to him. Ah, except when he’s asleep!”
The staff smiled lightly.
Lucy signed the contract and paid the advance. It was quite a large sum, but there was no avoiding it.
“Just to meet the Master costs this much, and the commission fee is separate? This is highway robbery.”
Muttering to herself, Lucy took out her purse. After verifying both the document and the money, the staff led Lucy and Shan to the VIP room.
Not long after they settled down with tea, a figure in a dark robe with a deeply hooded face entered.
“You wanted to meet me?”
The hooded figure plopped down across from her, and through the shadow, a black mask could be seen covering his face.

Recalling when she herself pretended to be Valencia Donis, Lucy didn’t ask further.
“Hello. I’m Lucy Raeford. I’ve always wanted to meet the Master at least once.”
Lucy tilted the corners of her eyes and smiled widely. Recently, she prided herself on the fact that no man could resist this particular smile.
“You wanted to meet me? Why?”
But the man in front of her tilted his head without the slightest hint of being affected by her smile.
“Oh! Professor Bruno Alan spoke highly of you! You… keep a pet ostrich? An ostrich! That’s amazing!”
Lucy eagerly searched for a topic that would please him.
“Ah, that eccentric inventor, huh? He truly is a genius. I once asked him to create a translator so we could communicate with our Kuku. Oh, Kuku is the name of my pet ostrich.”
“Kuku? Haha… that’s a really cute name.”
Lucy smiled awkwardly.
“That’s the only word he knows to say—‘Kuku.’”
“Your affection for Kuku really shows. The Master must be a very warm-hearted person!”
Though Lucy thought the man’s naming sense was terrible, she kept her thoughts to herself and praised him.
“But… you didn’t come all this way just to hear about my ostrich. So what is the real reason you wanted to meet me, dear client?”
The Master leaned slightly forward and looked Lucy directly in the eyes.
His sharp red eyes seemed to scan her, trying to read her intentions.
“My desire to meet you is sincere. And the reason I’m here today is that I intend to become one of your esteemed clients. To do that, you’ll first need to prove that Icarus truly possesses the continent’s top-level intelligence network.”
Lucy provocatively challenged him in a subtle tone.
“Proof, huh… I wonder how impressive this information really is.”
Smiling, Lucy opened her purse and took out the money.
“I happened to be visiting Tyren and want to meet some people immediately. Could you tell me where they are?”
The Master opened the purse Lucy handed him and his eyes widened slightly.
“Very well. Tell me the names of the people you’re looking for.”
“I want to know where Count Baton Sinom and a woman named Madame Rosel are right now.”
Upon hearing this, the Master called a staff member and whispered something, and the employee rushed outside.
After a short while, the staff returned with a thick stack of documents.
The Master skimmed through the documents and handed them to Lucy.
“These contain information about them. Find what you need there. If you want anything not included, you’ll need to pay extra. If you wish, I can have them brought to you immediately.”
Lucy’s eyes widened in surprise. The Master wasn’t just providing information—he was offering to bring them to her on the spot.
‘So he really does do anything for money. He’s going to be very useful.’
She quickly began reading the documents. The files contained extensive, detailed information about Count Sinom and Madame Rosel.
The more she read, the more amazed she became.

The reports included everything from their birth, wealth, and frequently visited associates, all meticulously recorded.

When reading Madame Rosel’s report, Lucy’s eyes widened at the final page.

Lucy, curious, quickly read through Count Sinom’s report.

‘So this must have been when Dino came to save me that day.’
She quickly flipped to the last page.

The report continued to astonish her.
After confirming Count Sinom’s current residence, Lucy closed the report and looked at the Master.

Lucy deliberately tapped the report, feigning dissatisfaction. The Master tilted his head in confusion.

The Master took them and began examining the contents meticulously.

Lucy perked her ears in curiosity.
“Nothing much. It just means that the Sinom lineage ended with him. There are no relatives to inherit the title.”
