Chapter 33
A few days before Lia and Kartian were to share a night together,
Lia received another letter.
This time, it was not from Duke Seronian, but from someone else.
The content was also different.
The letter was from the daughter of Marquis Sarontien. She apologized for the rudeness she had shown before and wrote that she wished to hold a tea party together to build a good relationship.
Since Lia did not recognize the name of the marquis’s daughter, it seemed that the “rudeness” mentioned in the letter had happened before she possessed this body.
“Hm.”
Lia thought carefully. Was it really just to apologize for being rude?
So many things had changed recently. It was possible that the young lady now wanted to build a good relationship with her.
With that in mind, Lia decided to accept the invitation.
Through this meeting, she might be able to see who she needed to be cautious of. A marquis’s daughter was not someone she could simply ignore.
There was also something that bothered her.
The other party was the daughter of the Sarontien family. Sarontien was someone who had once made some kind of deal with Freya. If she met the young lady this time, she might be able to learn about the relationship between Marquis Sarontien and Freya.
Since she had decided to respond more actively to her situation, it would not be a bad idea to look into this.
If the young lady truly wanted to build a good relationship with her, that could also lead to a good result.
Using someone felt a little wrong, but through her friendship with the marquis’s daughter, she might learn more about Marquis Sarontien—and perhaps even uncover the scheme between him and Freya.
