- Chapter 31 Lost Land 14
Albedo’s expression shifted from confusion to delight as he witnessed Dojun take down Likel.
Rather than running away as he had before, Albedo turned around with a resolute voice.
“Adventurer, now is your chance to strike back. Eliminate all the demon worshippers you see! With the skill I’ve witnessed from you, this is more than possible.”
◉ Main Quest – Eliminate the Demon Worshippers
You not only protected the ring from Likel’s threat, but you defeated Likel himself.
Now is the perfect opportunity for Altheon Castle to rise again.
The castle is crawling with demon worshippers. Use the ring to eradicate every last one of them and help the kingdom reclaim this fortress as a new stronghold for the counterattack.
The updated main quest.
At first glance, it seemed easier than killing Likel.
But it was far from easy.
The screen had shown a sea of red—a staggering number of enemies. Without Albedo’s help, escape would’ve been impossible.
Isn’t this actually harder than before?
It’s swarming with red dots, holy hell.
Phantom might pull it off though?
Honestly, even with Albedo helping, how do you expect to survive in the middle of all that?
If you’ve watched Phantom play before, you know he’s built for duels and stealth, not crowd-clearing.
┗ Look at all those red dots. That’s practically a death trap.
┗┗ If he could take them all on, he wouldn’t have run in the first place.
┗┗┗ Wait—so even killing Likel might be a dead-end route?
Most viewers predicted failure.
But Dojun’s eyes were gleaming with excitement.
He had carefully studied the layout of the inner city as he ran—narrow alleyways, densely packed buildings. Though it had seemed like a desperate escape, he had already mapped the area out in his mind.
Dojun reversed his grip on his daggers into the signature icepick hold and addressed his viewers.
“If you’ve followed my stream, you know I play a classic assassin style. That’s not just a label—it’s my actual method.”
Yep, that checks out.
Honestly, just getting this far without dying is insane.
He killed Likel, didn’t he? Bottoms up~
“But people misunderstand something. They think assassin-style builds are inherently weak against multiple enemies.”
Dojun turned back from the gates—where he was almost free—and walked back into the city.
“And yes, that’s partially true. But the thing is, it’s not just assassins—most classes are vulnerable when they’re outnumbered.”
Huh. He’s right.
A dogpile is rough no matter the class.
Still, assassins usually have low HP and defense, so they’re more fragile, fact.
“It all depends on how you use your build. Positioning is key. And assassins like me—with high mobility—can overcome that disadvantage. Let me show you how.”
As he crept toward the mob, Dojun called out to Albedo.
“Albedo, focus on the Marquis Delphiero. Flanking him are five worshippers on each side, and seven more behind observing. Take them all out.”
Albedo nodded sharply and dashed toward the marquis.
“Leave those to me!”
With a flurry of sword energy, Albedo engaged Delphiero in battle. The chaos created a small gap—just enough for Dojun to slip into the city center.
“Stat distribution: Strength to Agility, 1:3 ratio.”
Dojun immediately felt the difference in his physique. Without missing a beat, he plunged deeper into the city.
Delphiero roared.
“Kill that adventurer!!”
Dojun could feel the mass of enemy attention shift to him.
Isn’t going deeper into the city a death sentence?
He’s walking right into their trap…
He must have a plan if he’s doing this live.
On the surface, it seemed like a stupid move.
He was running into a place filled with unknowns—where escape routes were more limited, and ambushes were likely.
Yet his expression was calm and focused.
“Yes, assassins are fragile in large-scale combat. But let me make something clear.”
His expression chilled—sharp and deadly.
It was the same stoic mask Phantom wore when taking on missions in his past life.
“In terrain like this—tight alleys, multi-level structures—no one beats a first-class assassin.”
As he darted forward, a worshipper lunged from the shadows.
But Dojun had already anticipated it—disarming him with a flick and burying a dagger into his neck.
He quickly darted into a three-story building and shut the door behind him.
Inside was what looked like a tavern lobby. Guests blinked in surprise at the sudden intruder.
‘Just as I thought—no demon worshippers here.’
Given the chaos outside, he had correctly guessed that most cultists were out on patrol.
The non-hostile NPCs glowed blue, confirming they were civilians.
Then the door burst open behind him. Another cultist entered—but Dojun was ready. A swift stab to the vitals and the man dropped.
Startled, the group behind him paused, hesitating.
‘Just as I thought. They’re nothing but poorly trained fanatics.’
True professionals wouldn’t flinch when their comrades dropped.
These weren’t professionals.
Which meant Dojun could handle them.
‘No matter how many of these amateurs there are, they can’t catch me.’
The cultists’ stats were roughly equal to his, maybe slightly higher.
And their numbers? Likely over a hundred.
In a fair fight, he would lose.
But not here—not in this cramped terrain filled with narrow alleys and blind spots.
Dojun lured them into chokepoints, stabbed, vanished into adjacent buildings, and picked them off one by one.
Shhk. Shhk. Shhk.
Shhk. Shhk. Shhk.
It wasn’t a mob fight.
It was a series of one-on-one assassinations.
Over and over again.
God-tier play. I’m losing it!
How is this even real?
This isn’t a gang-up anymore. He’s breaking the system.
Assassin-mode: engaged. Phantom-mode: engaged.
Thought it was a trap? Nope, it’s Phantom’s playground.
┗ “Inescapable net”? More like “Swiss cheese.”
┗┗ LOL, true though.
┗┗┗ The cultists are dumb, but this terrain makes Phantom OP.
As time passed, the number of enemies dwindled.
The red dots on his minimap thinned out drastically.
Eventually, there were no more enemies chasing him.

★★ ‘Dagger’sBreath’ has donated 100,000 won. ★★
[Okay, everyone. You can breathe now.]
HOLY SH*T!!!
I literally forgot to breathe watching that
That was sexy as hell…
Phantom is a god! Phantom is a god! Phantom is a god!
That was the purest assassin play I’ve ever seen.
┗ First time I’ve had chills since Astra.
┗┗ Phantom is the future.
┗┗┗ Praise the King-tom. The Light-tom. The God-tom.
“Thanks again for the donation, Dagger’sBreath! I’ll skip the celebration so we don’t break the momentum—let’s keep the quest going.”
Dojun returned to Albedo, who had already subdued Marquis Delphiero and was waiting.
Albedo greeted him with a proud smile.
“You’ve returned. I caught a glimpse of how you dispatched those worshippers—truly ghost-like.”
“Only thanks to your help.”
“Nonsense. That was all you. But this isn’t the end.”
Albedo’s expression darkened.
“Now that I think about it… the rapid corruption of the kingdom began after Likel’s arrival.”
Likel had become Royal Court Magician about a decade ago.
“The cult existed before him, but things definitely accelerated after he showed up.”
It was a curious thing to say.
It implied Albedo had long suspected Likel but had no proof.
“Did you already have your doubts about him?”
“Indeed. What planted the suspicion in me was a warning from the former court magician—right before he retired.”
“The former court magician?”
“Yes. Before he left, he warned me—‘Beware of Likel.’ I couldn’t act on it without proof, so I hired my own mages to create a demon detector.”
Coincidentally—or not—Likel went on an assignment just as the detector was completed and vanished.
Unable to wait, Albedo had secretly sent Jon to Behera Fortress on a covert mission.
“This must be reported to His Majesty. We’ll head to the capital at once. Come with me.”

[Choose one of the following:]
Follow Albedo.
Don’t follow Albedo.
A sudden choice popped up on screen.
Dojun wasn’t the only one startled—chat exploded.
Option 1 seems like the obvious choice…
Why is there a second option? Suspicious.
Maybe there’s some hidden content left in the castle?
┗ Yeah, could be.
┗┗ Otherwise, why have a second option?
Dojun paused to think.
Then, another donation.
★★ ‘Dagger’sBreath’ has donated 100,000 won. ★★
[So… what are you picking?]
“Ah, thanks again! Honestly, the more you overthink stuff like this, the messier it gets. I try to keep things simple, even in real life.”
But this is a game??
Come on, we’re dying to know.
“It comes down to this—can I gain anything by staying? Doesn’t seem like it. But going with Albedo? That feels like progress. So I’ll go with option 1.”
Dojun chose without hesitation.
The screen immediately shifted to a new cinematic.
“Aaaahhhh!!”
“Help!!”
Screams echoed.
Altheon Castle was burning.
At the center stood none other than NPC Nel.
That bastard again??
We’re going after Nel next!
Don’t even bother. People already tried and got their skulls cracked.
┗ Been there, got wrecked.
┗┗ Add me to that list, lol.
“No cultists in the city? They must’ve developed an artifact to detect demons…”
“Should we alert the followers in the capital?”
“No. They’ve probably already been wiped out. I haven’t regained my full strength yet. It’ll take time before I can deal with Albedo.”
“Then what should we do…?”
“Return to the shrine. Focus on restoring my power. Meanwhile, make sure no one escapes from Altheon.”
“Understood.”
The subordinate bowed and left.
For the first time, Nel’s usual blank face took on a deadly seriousness.
“Fifteen days. In fifteen days, not a single human will remain in this region.”
The scene ended.
Dojun now stood in what was clearly the royal palace.
He smiled at the screen.
“So we have fifteen in-game days to clear the next phase, huh?”
The countdown had begun.
