Chapter – 81
Looks Kind but Very Cruel
After getting out of the elevator, the two of them still stayed silent.
“Go in and rest early.” Lu Li reached out and patted her head, then turned to leave.
Suddenly, she grabbed his ring finger.
He looked back, eyes falling on the small hand holding his finger, his gaze darkening. “What is it?”
Mu Wanwan stepped forward, stood on tiptoe, and whispered near his ear.
“Ali, good night.”
Those four simple words exploded in his ear.
Lu Li’s bright eyes filled with a smile. Mu Wanwan quickly ran into the room, and the moment the door closed, the man’s deep, magnetic laugh slipped through the crack and reached her ears.
Looking at the closed door, the corners of Lu Li’s mouth couldn’t help but rise.
Little enchantress.
“Your aunt has already prepared a blind date for you, and I believe your father will agree too.” Lu Li’s cold eyes swept over him, and Fu Dong immediately wilted.
“Fu Dong, you’re going back to S City the day after tomorrow. Get ready for the blind date.” Striking where it hurt, Lu Li said it lightly.
“You only said half of what you told me last time. Come on, be honest—how much do you know about Mu Wanwan’s time in M Country?” Huo Zheng, who was closest to him, lightly kicked his leg.
Fu Dong pinched his fingers together and made a zipper motion across his mouth.
“Can’t say. If you want to know, ask the person involved.”
Huo Zheng noticed Lu Li’s narrowed dark eyes and silently mourned for Fu Dong for a second.
Huo Zheng’s curiosity flared. “What can’t you say about Wanwan?”
He had teased her and then run off.
Just when he wanted to go back and rest, he was dragged over by Huo Zheng.
After the banquet, Fu Dong was exhausted like a dog.
— scene break —
They had agreed to stroll around the resort and climb the mountain, so Fu Dong and the others got up early and met at the restaurant.
Huo Zheng rolled his eyes. If Mu Wanwan wouldn’t say anything, why would they ask him?
Fu Dong panicked. “What blind date? Who said that? I’m not going.”
He absolutely didn’t doubt Wanwan’s ability to hurt people.
In the bright living room, Fu Dong tugged at his tie and looked at the person opposite the sofa.
“Cousin, it’s so late. Can you feel sorry for me and let me rest early? Okay?”
“Cousin, I really don’t know much about my sister-in-law’s matters. Even if I did, she doesn’t allow me to say anything, so you should ask her yourself.” He said with resentment. “You and your little couple’s quarrels shouldn’t involve innocent bystanders.”
As the saying goes: society’s big sister Mu, looks kind but is very cruel.
Lu Li glanced at Fu Dong. The latter avoided his gaze and looked at the ceiling, pretending he knew nothing.
…
“I already told you everything I know.” Fu Dong continued playing dumb. “Mu Wanwan had many people chasing her in M Country. Her romantic luck was good, and the guys chasing her were all handsome.”
He was avoiding saying anything that Mu Wanwan had asked him to keep secret. If he slipped up, the first person to skin him would probably be Mu Wanwan.
“Wanwan, didn’t you bring a hat?” Qiao Le arrived last and sat beside Mu Wanwan, glancing at her small backpack. “You forgot?”
Mu Wanwan poured her a cup of juice. “I forgot.”
“Use mine. My jacket has a hood.” Qiao Le took a sip of juice and rummaged through her bag. “The midday sun is strong. If you don’t wear a hat, you’ll definitely get darker by evening.”
“Use mine.” Lu Li took his own hat and put it directly on Mu Wanwan’s head. The black hat matched her clothes and looked good.
Riding on Lu Li’s little pursuit car, the dog food kept coming—plenty of it.
