Prologue
Inside a quiet café.
At a table by the window, two women and one man were seated. All three were strikingly beautiful, so much so that people couldn’t help but steal glances at them.
“Young Lady, please be honest with me.”
Aria, the woman with soft lilac hair that shimmered in the light and gemstone-like eyes that seemed to change color, spoke with a serious expression.
“Have you started to dislike me now?”
Sigh.
Rubelia, the other woman with silver hair, let out a silent sigh at Aria’s words.
Aria’s face was painted with shock, as if she had interpreted Rubelia’s silence as an affirmative answer.
“Why don’t you act cruelly toward me anymore? Has your affection cooled?”
Rubelia closed her eyes quietly.
Although Aria used the word “cruel,” it was far from mere mischief—it was typical villainess-level malice.
So Rubelia thought it would be best for her own sanity to simply pretend she hadn’t heard such nonsense.
“Young Lady, speak to me as well. You used to come to see me every day, but why not anymore? Weren’t you always there wherever I went?”
Wasn’t it just recently that she had called them stalkers, asking why they kept appearing before her, begging them to disappear?
Rubelia sighed again.
She couldn’t understand why these people were acting this way toward her.
“Please, be cruel to me like before!”
Aria spoke boldly.
So basically, you want me to act like a villainess toward the heroine and end up dead in the original story, right?
Of course, in the original, her death wasn’t just because of harassment—it had a more complicated background. But fundamentally, it stemmed from her torment of the original heroine.
“Please follow me around!”
Not to be outdone, the male lead, Hasedian, spoke as well.
So basically, you want me to follow you around and be scolded by other nobles, right?
Rubelia thought silently at Hasedian’s words:
How did it even come to this…?
She had only tried to avoid the dead-end fate from the novel.
She had kept her distance and tried to live a happy life alone.
But her efforts were in vain—Aria and Hasedian, the original heroine and male lead, were chasing after her like lunatics.
And they were begging her to torment them and follow them around, just like in the story.
