Inventory (Level 4) Storage: Basic capacity (0/400)
MP: 1,125 / 86,400
Huh?
A physical level that wasn’t there before appeared. On top of that, the traits went up to 1, and the residents’ affection improved drastically. It improved way faster than when she boosted Morta Village’s affection.
At this pace, even if she unlocked other villages, she could probably wipe out the negative numbers quickly.
That wasn’t all. The MP figure, which never even explained what it was, also changed drastically. She was sure 2,000 points had been taken from her, so why is there still 1,125 MP left? Where did the 1,000 go?
No matter how much she thought about it, she couldn’t figure out any reason why 1,000 MP would disappear.
While pondering, Donghee suddenly clapped her hands together.
Wait! Isn’t this my health indicator? Then what’s that 86,400? My life expectancy? If I hit zero, do I die?
Donghee started roleplaying like a terminal patient, and the status window, as if silently watching her, erased the text on its blue screen and suddenly popped up bold letters.
– To our user overflowing with various kinds of beauty,
Huh? Why all of a sudden?
The random compliment from the status window oddly put Donghee in a good mood. It seemed worried since they had been together for a while. With a coy smile, she glanced at the status window as if to say, go on.
– Healthy beauty.
Ah, so I’m healthy. Good to know.
– Airheaded charm.
Hey.
– Tragic beauty.
Donghee thought she might become the first person in history to die of high blood pressure because of a status window.
To get some fresh air, Donghee decided to take a walk around the Grace castle and headed toward the training grounds where the knights were practicing.
Today was a day off from logging, so instead of helping with logging, the knights and mercenaries were scheduled to train at the grounds.
Clang! Clang!
Whoosh! Thud!
As she approached, she could hear the clashing of steel and shouts of men mixed together chaotically.
Among those sounds were the loud commands of Red Bear, the commander. His voice was so loud that Donghee wondered if he was secretly using a megaphone.
Noticing Chloe, Red Bear abandoned his training men and ran toward her, panting.
His expression carried both joy and worry.
“Lord, is it really okay for you to be out here already?”
“Yeah. I’m completely fine now.”
“Still, you should rest a bit longer…”
“It’s fine. I must’ve scared you all. Sorry about that.”
When Donghee smiled brightly as she said that, Red Bear’s eyes widened before he shook his head and gave a faint smile. His gaze was full of pride, like a father watching his grown daughter.
“Oh right, the dagger’s finished, isn’t it?”
The fang they took from the Qullen in the Black Forest wasn’t sold but used to craft weapons for the Grace Territory. Rumors spread, and various guilds had lined up to buy it, but Donghee flatly refused. Such a fine material should obviously be used for weapons for the Grace knights.
The knights, upon hearing the lord’s decision, were overjoyed. Today was the day they would receive the finished daggers.
“Yes, we received great help from Smith during the process.”
Smith, who was originally working on the vault, was reassigned to the weapon crafting project under Donghee’s orders.
“I knew he was talented, but I didn’t expect him to be this good at weapon-making too.”
“Me neither. We really have so many skilled people in this territory. And of course, you’re one of them, you know that?”
Startled by the sudden compliment, Red Bear’s face flushed red. Donghee chuckled and strode ahead.
There were 130 daggers crafted from Qullen’s fangs. Since the fangs were so hard and sharp that no human tool could polish them, they were simply fitted with the right handle to make daggers or attached to spearheads. Others were used as arrowheads for large bows.
Weapons made from Qullen fangs were worth a fortune.
Rich knights from noble families could easily afford them, but the knights of Grace were in a different position. Most noble-born knights had already left Grace; those remaining were either from fallen noble families or mostly commoners.
For them, receiving such a precious dagger was overwhelming.
They received the daggers as if they were priceless treasures, some even kneeling, and swore loyalty to the lord. Though loyalty to the lord of Grace was expected, the previous lord had never been someone worth pledging loyalty to. That made today’s vows deeply meaningful to both the knights and Donghee.
– The trust level of knights and workers has surpassed 95%. As a reward, you have been granted the right to expand part of your activity range.
The status window popped up without warning, but Donghee was so used to it now that she didn’t even flinch.
Reading it calmly, her expression brightened more than ever.
She already knew what area to expand. She just needed to return and collect what she wanted.
She hadn’t even had the chance to visit the egg section yet, so as soon as she returned to her room, she decided to open the front door right away.
Still, 95% trust? That’s a lot of pressure.
Though she thought that, she couldn’t hide her rising smile. She was still grinning when Red Bear respectfully presented her with a dagger with a crimson handle.
“What’s this?”
“Your dagger, my lord.”
“Mine?”
Donghee asked in surprise as she accepted it.
“Smith made this one first and spent the most time on it.”
“It’s gorgeous.”
Though it had no elaborate decorations, the dagger was made to fit perfectly in her hand and was absolutely beautiful. While it couldn’t be polished, the fang had been carefully cleaned and wiped until it shone like pearl.
The natural curve of the fang gave it an elegant crescent shape—threatening, yet breathtaking. It was a weapon full of care and craftsmanship, and Donghee felt thrilled and happy as she held it.
“This is the best gift I’ve ever received.”
“Smith will be delighted to hear that. He would have loved to be here, but he had to rush back to the vault because the work was falling behind.”
This was the first time she’d seen Red Bear talk so much. He seemed just as elated by the dagger as she was.
Seeing the knights so happy, Donghee felt relieved she hadn’t sold the Qullen’s fangs and hide.
“I told them to make guards from the Qullen hide too. Once the kids’ winter coats are done, they’ll start. The tailors will come soon to take the knights’ measurements, so be ready.”
The hide from the Qullen carcass collected on the way back from the Black Forest would also be used for the knights. On her way back to her room, Donghee saw another message:
– Trust level has reached 99%.
Back in her room, Donghee immediately opened the Hidden Shop and expanded her inventory. She could now store 800 items.
“Feels great.”
After checking the now-roomy inventory, she cheerfully called up the status window again.
– The knights’ trust level has reached 99%. As a reward, you can now expand part of your activity range. Please select one of the following options:
Area around the convenience store (50m radius)
Borimdang and surrounding area (50m radius)
Expand part of the supermarket (entire 1st floor)
Donghee chose without hesitation.
“Number 3.”
No matter which section it was, the supermarket would yield more than the convenience store.
– You selected option 3: Expand part of the supermarket. The entire 1st floor will be added to your activity range. Once expanded, this cannot be reversed. Proceed?
“Of course.”
She was so excited she almost broke into a dance. As soon as she confirmed, the floating status window updated her range.
– Activity Range: 4.5 / Basement studio, convenience store, Borimdang and surrounding areas, entire 1st floor of the supermarket.
