Synopsis
“Why? What’s wrong, dear?”
Ju-hye looked up at her husband with eyes brimming with tears. His face hardened sharply. It was only natural for him to be startled—after all, the only time he had ever seen his wife cry was on their wedding day.
“Did something happen?”
The question came in an even lower voice.
The voice of Seo Dae-hyun—the man Jin Ju-hye had loved so deeply.
“Ju-hye.”
She felt ashamed of the time she had spent living under the happy illusion that somewhere within that indifferent voice, affection must surely be hidden.
If Dae-hyun were to acknowledge the existence of his mistress with his own lips, this moment would remain an eternally horrifying memory for her. It would be no different from having it confirmed that he had never loved her from the beginning.
