Extra Story 04
“You absolutely must not confess when you’re drunk! If you do, your sincerity might be mistaken for drunken rambling!”
Lilith suddenly remembered Elias’s advice. Only then did she realize her mistake—but what could she do now? The words had already been spoken.
She recalled what she had just blurted out and carefully watched Asmodeus’s reaction. He seemed startled, frozen in place for a moment.
“Asmodeus… say something.”
In the end, Lilith spoke first, unable to bear the silence any longer. Asmodeus cleared his throat awkwardly.
“Lilith.”
He called her name with unusually serious eyes. For some reason, Lilith felt her drunken haze fade away.
“…What you just said… was it the truth?”
Lilith couldn’t see it, but Asmodeus’s hand was trembling slightly. It was a moment he had waited for a very long time.
Lilith hesitated briefly. But even someone inexperienced like her knew that questions like this needed to be answered quickly.
“Yes. I meant it.”
Lilith replied with an expression just as serious as his. Asmodeus’s cheeks flushed even redder. Unable to meet her gaze, he turned his head away in embarrassment.
“I see. Ah… honestly…”
“What is it, Asmodeus? Do you not believe my feelings?”
Lilith asked, a little worried by his uncharacteristic behavior. Asmodeus shook his head.
“No… it’s not that. I’m just… so happy.”
He still couldn’t look at her, covering his face with his hand as he confessed his thoughts.
“I’ve liked you for a long time. But I knew you didn’t feel the same, so I gave up… I never expected to hear that your heart had changed.”
“Ah… I see. That makes sense.”
Lilith nodded calmly. Then she smiled faintly at the still-blushing Asmodeus. Knowing he felt the same gave her a small sense of confidence.
“I only realized how much I loved you too… after you disappeared from the world. That’s when I understood, and I regretted it deeply.”
Lilith spoke as if it didn’t matter, but Asmodeus quietly lowered his hand.
“Lilith… I see.”
“Yes. If it weren’t for that… I wouldn’t have brought you back.”
“…Thank you.”
Asmodeus spoke sincerely. Lilith had never told him about all the effort she had made to revive him.
But he knew. Even as the current Demon King, she must have used tremendous power to resurrect a great demon.
And summoning my soul alone must have been difficult…
Not only his soul, but his memories and body had returned exactly as they were before.
“Truly… thank you, Lilith. And…”
Asmodeus, thinking of her sacrifice, finally revealed his deepest feelings.
“…I love you. I’ve loved you for a long time.”
Then he stood and stepped closer.
Hearing the word “love” from him, Lilith froze in shock. In that moment, Asmodeus reached her and pulled her tightly into his arms.
“I will always stay by your side, Lilith. So… will you allow me to remain with you?”
At his sweet confession, Lilith’s cheeks instantly turned red. She had never imagined hearing such words from him.
“…Lilith?”
Asmodeus held her even tighter, not letting go, almost as if urging her for an answer. Lilith was flustered by this side of him she had never seen before.
But she could feel his sincerity clearly, so she didn’t push him away.
She wrapped her arms around him in return.
“Yes, Asmodeus. Stay by my side forever.”
Only then did Asmodeus finally loosen his embrace.
“I will.”
Their eyes met.
Lilith and Asmodeus—two demons—moved toward each other without either needing to speak first.
Their lips met.
Soon, black flames surrounded them, and the space around them shifted—from the dining hall to Lilith’s bedroom.
And all night long, they confirmed their love for each other.
* * *
“Isn’t it wonderful, Theron?”
Theron smiled along with Elias, who was grinning brightly in front of him.
“Yes. It really is. I’m glad the two of them worked out.”
“Right? I’m so happy they finally understood each other’s feelings!”
“If you’re happy, Eli… then I’m happy too.”
Theron smiled softly. Elias felt her heart flutter. Though time had passed since they became lovers, their love was still overflowing.
Even in their busy lives, they made time at least once a week to be together.
And today was no different.
They had purchased a small estate near both the temple and the Pierrot Ducal House, and they were spending time together there.
Dating outside was nice, but being alone together like this was even better.
So today, they were enjoying a quiet meal together.
A few days ago, Elias had heard from Lilith that she and Asmodeus had become lovers, and she was now sharing the news with Theron.
But Theron, with Elias right in front of him, couldn’t focus properly.
What should I do…?
Now that quite some time had passed since he and Elias became lovers, he was deep in thought about the future he had long dreamed of.
That future was…
“Theron? Are you listening?”
“Ah, yes. I’m listening, Eli.”
“Then what did I just say?”
“Well… that Lilith and Asmodeus became lovers…”
“Wrong.”
Elias pouted, and Theron panicked.
“Oh no… I’m sorry.”
“You weren’t listening, were you? What were you thinking about?”
“I’m sorry. I was thinking about something else, but it wasn’t because I was ignoring you.”
“Hmmm… really? Then can’t you tell me what it is?”
“…No. I’m sorry. Not yet.”
How could he tell her he was preparing a proposal event?
Theron felt guilty, but he had no choice but to stay silent.
Elias felt a little hurt, but she didn’t show it.
“Alright. But you’ll tell me when the time comes?”
She trusted him completely—and Theron knew it.
“Yes. I promise I will.”
Despite the small commotion, their date continued happily as always.
They ate together, and reaffirmed their love.
“Ah… I wish we could stay together longer.”
As the time came for Elias to return to the temple, she looked openly disappointed. Theron pulled her into his arms.
“I want to stay with you longer too.”
“But it can’t be helped… you have work.”
“Yes. Still, we’ll meet again soon.”
Theron kissed her forehead briefly and let her go.
“Then I’ll be going.”
“I love you, Eli.”
Before she climbed into the carriage, Theron confessed his feelings.
Elias smiled and stepped inside.
Theron stood there until the carriage disappeared from view.
I need to propose soon…
Only then could he truly live with Elias.
But the problem was…
He couldn’t think of the perfect way to do it.
“Seems like you’ve got something on your mind?”
At that moment, a man’s voice—one he had heard before—rang out behind him.
