Chapter 31: Max-Level Boss Enters the Beginner Village
Luo Luo pointed at herself. “Huh? Me? Why?”
“Why? Because I don’t like the look of you.”
The Spider Beastman didn’t even try to hide her dislike for Luo Luo, clicking her tongue in disapproval.
“I really don’t get it. Why does everyone like you? You’re not even that good-looking.”
Luo Luo smiled innocently. “Yeah, same as you.”
You can say she’s weak, but saying she’s ugly is absolutely not allowed.
She had been working hard on losing weight these past few days.
Eating less was natural, plus she had been busy cooking and traveling.
And dealing with three beast husbands wasn’t easy either.
Finally, she had slimmed down considerably, her skin had improved, and she was naturally not unattractive.
So why should the Spider Beastman call her ugly? Absolutely not!
The Spider Beastman hadn’t expected to be talked back to and was furious. “Get down here! Let’s see if I don’t beat you to death!”
Luo Luo was sitting on a high stone bench, looking down at her.
This unbalanced height made her very uncomfortable.
As a super fertile female, she usually walked around here with authority.
No one dared disrespect her; every male wanted to mate with her.
Accustomed to their flattery and reverence, she would not allow Luo Luo to look down on her.
Luo Luo jumped off the bench. “Hey, big sister, you can’t hit me just because I said you’re ugly, right?”
It was you who called me ugly first—I’m just retaliating fairly.
“Big sister?” The Spider Beastman widened her eyes. “Kid, I’m several rounds older than you! You should call me ‘Mother,’ if anything.”
Laughter erupted from the audience below. The males suddenly found this fight between two females much more entertaining than a male brawl.
Everyone widened their eyes and perked up their ears, not wanting to miss a moment.
Luo Luo twitched her mouth. “Well, uh… lady, why should females make things hard for each other, huh? Right?”
The Spider Beastman was a fifth-tier beastman, while Luo Luo was just a lowly zero-tier.
Although she wanted to fight, she couldn’t win, so she had to endure it.
“Calling me ‘lady’? Do I look that old to you? You’re hopeless.”
The Spider Beastman spat out a mouthful of thick black saliva. “Pfft! Your beast husband marrying you is like a curse on his family for eight generations, a total softie.”
Luo Luo narrowed her eyes, glaring. You can insult me, but not my parents.
And definitely not her handsome beast husbands.
She strode forward, pulling out a wooden hairpin given to her by Ziye, and tied up her hair, taking a battle stance.
She hadn’t known why Ziye had given it to her—it was to secure her hair.
The usually aloof and cold person could be so considerate at key moments.
Luo Luo grinned, and to the Spider Beastman, this was pure provocation.
Bold, blatant, full-on provocation.
Whoosh—
Multiple threads shot from the Spider Beastman’s hands, thousands intertwining into a sharp sword aimed at Luo Luo.
Luo Luo sidestepped, pulled out her bone knife, and slashed. Countless threads were cut with a loud crackling sound.
The Spider Beastman was stunned. She hadn’t expected a zero-tier girl to dodge her attack.
She focused on the knife in Luo Luo’s hand—its sharpness glinted dangerously.
Such a weapon was only for beastmen of tier eight or higher.
Could it be—
Squinting, the Spider Beastman realized this little girl was no ordinary opponent.
She retracted her threads and her pride, preparing to take the fight seriously.
The Spider Beastman’s strikes grew fiercer with each move, and Luo Luo darted around, dodging.
After a few rounds, Luo Luo remained standing, while the Spider Beastman was exhausted.
Seeing her slow down, Luo Luo taunted mischievously, “Come on, hit me! I’m right here.”
Luo Luo moved swiftly, leaping about, always a step ahead. The Spider Beastman fumed in frustration.
Clenching her teeth, she chased Luo Luo across the arena.
Both were drenched in sweat. The Spider Beastman cursed—she couldn’t hit her, couldn’t catch her.
For Luo Luo, it was a perfect weight-loss opportunity; she burned a lot of calories in no time.
Wiping sweat off, a male beastman kindly handed her a cup of water.
She thanked him politely and took a sip, feeling refreshed and even a little exhilarated.
The Spider Beastman jumped up and shouted, “You’re cheating! You can’t do that!”
“Can’t catch me, so you call me a cheater? So many eyes watching, and you think I’d cheat?” Luo Luo retorted.
No one said you couldn’t run.
Looking beyond the fence, she happily waved to her three handsome guys.
“Chiyao, Ziye, Xiaozhan, I haven’t lost!”
As long as she ran fast, no one could catch her.
Maybe she could keep this up and become the last winner standing.
Chiyao clenched his heart. “Our female master is amazing.”
A zero-tier facing a fifth-tier beastman for so long was no small feat.
Xiaozhan mocked, “That’s all you’ve got?”
Why don’t you rush in and fight the Spider Beastman, coward?
Ziye suddenly shouted, “Watch out behind you!”
“Huh?” Luo Luo didn’t hear clearly and turned—an overwhelming wave of threads pressed down on her.
Her limbs were entangled; she couldn’t move.
The Spider Beastman crossed her arms and looked down. “Why aren’t you running? Don’t want to?”
Luo Luo protested, “That was a sneak attack!”
“You let me run but can’t sneak attack me? What rules? Did you make them?”
Luo Luo was speechless, struggling to break free.
The more she struggled, the tighter the threads became.
“Don’t waste your effort. You’re done for.”
The Spider Beastman tightened the threads, causing Luo Luo to writhe in pain.
Chiyao rushed to the fence again but was bounced back.
Xiaozhan laughed. “She’s finished!”
Ziye reminded him, “If she dies, you won’t last long either. Don’t forget your illness—you need her.”
Xiaozhan annoyedly flicked his tail. “She dies first, I don’t lose.”
He said it fiercely but couldn’t help looking at the arena.
Luo Luo’s face was bright red, sweat soaking her clothes.
Her survival instincts made her struggle violently. The Spider Beastman looked down at the crowd. “See? She’s going to die.”
“If any of you want a mate, you can come to me. I’ll guarantee lots of offspring,” she even started promoting herself.
“I have eight beast husbands already—maybe the next one will be you?”
No one answered; all eyes turned to the distance.
A strong murderous aura appeared, a wild wind whipping up sand. The clear sky was suddenly covered by black clouds.
“Roar~”
A thunderous roar came from the clouds.
Through the swirling sand appeared a gigantic lion, mouth wide open, fangs glinting, seemingly capable of devouring everything.
Chiyao rushed to the fence. “Female master, run!”
The newcomer was a ninth-tier Lion Beastman—a max-level boss entering the beginner village.
He came to slaughter the village!
Luo Luo gripped her bone knife tightly. Before she could cut the threads, the wind lifted her into the air.
Ah—
Spider Beastman screamed as she saw the Lion Beastman grab her.
He tossed her into his mouth like a peanut.
Crunch—Spider Beastman died.
The threads around Luo Luo fell like lifeless leaves.
She hit the ground, ignored everything, and ran as fast as she could.
Behind her, the Lion Beastman activated a “buffet mode,” and screams echoed through the valley.
In an instant, the arena became a sea of blood.
