Story 17
Precognition
I have the ability to see the future.
When I thought, “That guy’s going to die tomorrow,” he actually died. Back in elementary school. He died in an accident on the way home from school.
When I thought, “There’ll be an earthquake tonight and school will be canceled tomorrow,” an earthquake actually happened and school was closed for a while. No — worse than that, my house was half-destroyed by that quake. It was a fairly large earthquake; my friends’ houses and some relatives’ homes were destroyed too.
I thought, “Oh — that car and that car are going to hit each other,” and immediately after, the two cars had a rear-end collision. I drove past so I don’t know what happened afterward.
That’s how it is with the big things. Other times, in a store when I think, “That person will buy such-and-such,” they really buy it. When I think, “So-and-so is going to get scolded by the teacher,” they really get scolded right afterward.
I thought I had precognitive ability.
But recently I’ve been thinking:
Maybe it’s not that I can foresee the future, but that what I think becomes reality. So I’m going to test which is true next time. Lately a senior at my part-time job has been annoying, so I’m thinking of torturing them a bit while killing them.
