“Maybe I shouldn’t go to work.”
His voice, low and husky, was incredibly alluring.
Yeonwoo reached out and gently wiped the saliva off Sajun’s soft yet firm lips.
Then, he followed her fingers and kissed her back.
Her heart was pounding.
Sajun’s eyes slowly scanned Yeonwoo’s face.
Depending on Yeonwoo’s answer now, he seemed ready to move.
His gaze lingered long on her swollen lips before settling on her clear eyes.
“Then who will be in the ER…?”
Sajun let out a light chuckle.
With a breezy laugh, he pulled away completely from Yeonwoo.
“That’s the right answer.”
What an idiot.
He laughed bitterly, as if mocking himself for feeling like a fool.
Running his hand through his hair, he added,
“Want to get in the car?”
“Ah, yes.”
He opened the front passenger door wide and waited for Yeonwoo to get in.
Yeonwoo climbed into the grand, large sedan that resembled Sajun, then watched as he took the driver’s seat.
“Seatbelt.”
“Yes!”
While fastening her belt, Yeonwoo unintentionally glanced toward his thigh.
She noticed something bulging over his thick, muscular thigh and swallowed hard.
She must be crazy.
Why was she even looking?
Flustered, she quickly straightened up and looked out the window.
Her eyes darted around nervously.
No matter how much she liked large things, this was too much.
She had guessed it wasn’t average size when it first touched her body, but seeing it with her own eyes, she doubted if she could handle it.
Since they had kissed, passing this “next step” was an unavoidable hurdle.
Swallowing nervously, Yeonwoo calmed her startled heart.
“Yeonwoo.”
Before starting the car, Sajun called her in a low, husky voice.
“Yes? Yes?”
Her mind was scattered, but she smiled as if nothing was wrong and looked at him.
Her eyelids twitched faintly.
“I really can’t follow your thoughts.”
“Why do you say that?”
Was she caught?
Yeonwoo felt her face flush.
No, it was more than flushing — she felt like she might explode.
He looked at her as if examining a strange creature, then chuckled and stroked the top of her head.
“You said you were worried about the ER, so I put you in the car. Why are you looking there?”
“Ah…”
Caught.
“I don’t think I can drive like this. What should I do?”
He rested one arm on the window frame, holding his head.
Trying hard not to look at his manly, wide-open thighs, Yeonwoo said,
“Then shall I drive? I’m not experienced, but I think I can at least get us to the hospital.”
“Are you sure you won’t crash into a ditch?”
Sajun asked with a teasing voice, narrowing his eyes at her.
“…Isn’t there insurance?”
Feigning ignorance and blinking innocently, Yeonwoo provoked Sajun to straighten up, seemingly unable to resist.
Rubbing the back of his neck, he gave a small smile and reached his hand toward Yeonwoo.
“Hand.”
Hesitantly, she placed her hand softly on top of his large, manly hand.
He looked down at her hand for a long moment, as if it were adorable and precious, then intertwined their fingers.
Yeonwoo felt her whole body burn.
Sajun expertly started the car and drove out from in front of the house.
Passing green fields and mountains, they turned onto the road leading to the hospital.
Jiwoong, who was commuting by bicycle, moved aside carefully at the sound of the car and looked in curiously.
“Doctor.”
Instead of answering, Sajun turned to look at Yeonwoo.
His hot gaze made her heart beat wildly again.
“Next time, I won’t hold back. Hospital or whatever.”
“Ah… It’s not like that…”
Breathing heavily, he asked,
“Jiwoong knows now, so it’s only a matter of time before the hospital staff find out too.”
“Why, do you want to keep it a secret?”
“No, I honestly don’t mind.”
“Good then. Even if you wanted to keep it secret, the hospital’s so small it wouldn’t be easy.”
“Is the master okay with this?”
“I’m thinking about getting a tattoo on my forehead.”
“Huh?”
“Saying ‘Ryu Yeonwoo is mine.’”
“What? You’re hopeless.”
Yeonwoo chuckled.
Just imagining it made her smile.
Sajun smiled warmly, as if finding her endlessly cute.
“You don’t believe me. If you keep laughing, I will do it.”
“Then I’ll hold back so your handsome face doesn’t get ruined.”
Ah, maybe this is what dating is like.
Yeonwoo felt a tickling sensation like bubbles rising in her chest.
She kept laughing.
She was sure she must have saved the world in a past life.
Knock, knock.
After finishing the morning shift and resting slouched on the sofa, Sajun opened his eyes at the sound of knocking.
“Yes. Come in.”
He sat up, waiting for the door to open.
If an emergency patient had arrived, he would have been called immediately.
So, the person knocking and entering cautiously was likely Yeonwoo.
The door opened just a crack, and as expected, Yeonwoo appeared.
“Um, doctor.”
“Come in.”
Thud.
Yeonwoo stepped inside and closed the door, carefully observing Sajun’s expression.
She was holding something in her hands.
What was she planning?
“What’s that you’re holding?”
Sajun chuckled and asked.
Yeonwoo brought out what she was holding.
“An electric heat pack.”
Her heart’s lock completely opened, Yeonwoo approached without hesitation.
Thinking of Yeonwoo borrowing the heat pack to help him warmed Sajun’s lips into a smile.
“You brought it for me?”
“Yes.”
Yeonwoo tiptoed over like a cat quietly approaching, then stood before him.
Sajun tilted his head and looked up at her.
Her serious expression reminded him of when she was performing CPR.
“I need to check your leg a bit, is that okay?”
That was fine…
Sajun looked down at his thighs, spread apart.
His thick thigh muscles were fully visible through the blue surgical scrubs he was wearing.
Yeonwoo’s gaze followed him down.
Not again. Driving him crazy.
Her clear, big eyes suddenly widened, then quickly moved back up.
“Haha, I wasn’t trying to look on purpose.”
Biting her lower lip and blushing, Yeonwoo was so adorably lovable that Sajun found himself awkward.
“What did you see?”
“Nothing at all. Um, do you know where I plug in the electric cord?”
Yeonwoo tried to act calm with a flushed face.
Sajun grabbed her wrist and pulled her firmly toward him.
Yeonwoo gasped in surprise.
“Ah!”
Sitting her on his thigh, Sajun wrapped his arms tightly around Yeonwoo’s waist.
“D-Doctor.”
She switched from calling him ‘master’ to ‘doctor’.
He could almost hear her heart pounding.
“I was holding back.”
Sajun gently stroked her cheek and tucked her messy hair behind her ear.
“Shall we kiss instead of the heat pack?”
“No, no!”
“No?”
Sajun raised one eyebrow.
“Why not? We did well this morning. And yesterday too.”
“This is a hospital.”
Isn’t a hospital a place where people live?
Just yesterday, one patient couldn’t hold back and ended up spending a fun time with his wife in the ward, and almost got warned and kicked out.
So a little kiss was nothing.
“That’s true.”
Sajun pressed a kiss to Yeonwoo’s forehead then lifted her off his thigh.
The situation was no longer casual.
Yeonwoo’s plump hips stirred the man dangerously.
“The outlet is over there.”
“Ah, yes.”
Yeonwoo hurried over like running away and plugged the small heat pack in.
She stood back, waiting for it to warm, then shyly approached again.
