I lifted the neck of the delinquent who had gotten in my way and used my presence to tell him not to move. In the chaotic classroom, someone shouted from afar, “S-someone—!” A bystander who had witnessed it went to call for help.
I gradually applied more strength to the arm holding his neck. The delinquent began making cracking sounds, and then he started losing control of various bodily functions. His consciousness was probably already gone…
Just then, the principal arrived.
“Y-you, stop!”
“Why??”
“You’ll… you’ll die!”
“I don’t care!!”
Crack! Plop…
I had killed the person known as the delinquent. A little while later, I was arrested. It seemed like it was by some kind of police organization similar to a knight order.
During the interrogation, I admitted to the crime of murder, but for some reason, I was released immediately… Apparently, it was because I was a minor, and the principal had vouched for me. The delinquent was framed for false charges. I was judged as not guilty due to excessive self-defense.
With that settled, I headed to the dungeon, where I met a magical girl.
“I’ve been waiting! Let’s go!”
“Yeah.”
“Hey, F-Class… I heard someone died in an accident. Are you okay?”
“Yeah, I only just heard about it.”
“Even though we’re in the same class?”
“Yeah.”
“I see! Starting today, it’s Floor 21! Let’s do our best!!”
“Yeah.”
Floors 21, 22, and 23 weren’t very challenging. The training focused on coordinating with the magical girl and timing fire spells to coat my beloved sword. Monsters like Grizzly, Killer Machine, and Killer Panther weren’t really challenging unless it was a special boss-type like the Floor 20 King Slime… Oh well, I guess we’ll take it slow.
“Hey… I have a favor to ask…”
“What is it?”
“When I was in a hero party, we used to stream together… Now that I’m solo, I haven’t been doing it, but the principal’s grandfather wants us to restart it… I want to do it with you, Chrono! Is that okay?”
“You mean one of those crystal-like video things? Sure.”
“Thanks! I’m so happy!”
The magical girl herself wasn’t particularly enthusiastic about streaming, but she agreed because the principal’s grandfather asked her. It would only be live streaming, no archives, just for the grandfather. He apparently likes watching his grandchild’s streams.
Even in my own country, I had been arrested by the knight order before, but of course, under the king’s authority, I was found innocent!
Anyway, we’ll start streaming next time. Today, I decided to go home.
“Please take care of buying the magic stones; we’ll split the cost.”
“Chrono-sama, thank you as always. Aren’t you tired? Would you like some tea while you wait?”
“Ah… I’m fine.”
“I’m here too!”
“Oh, hello! Little sister.”
“I’m not your sister! We’re partners in the party!”
I thought the magical girl and the receptionist had exchanged similar words last time.
“Thank you for waiting. Chrono-sama, 50 magic stones have been deposited. How about having a meal together sometime?”
“Meal, huh… I don’t really know many places around here anyway.”
“No! I told you! Don’t try to steal Chrono!”
“Oh no, not at all. As the exclusive receptionist, this is just to ensure we can work together smoothly.”
“Then I can come too, right?”
“Well, maybe another time! Good work, receptionist!”
I hurriedly left.
