黎轻轻’s words caused an uproar across the entire scene. Everyone turned to look at 齐深 in unison.
齐深 looked utterly disheveled and, feeling guilty, raised his voice defensively. “You’re making accusations without proof—just talking nonsense!”
“Talking nonsense?” 黎轻轻 sneered. “Then what proof do you have that I’m talking nonsense?”
She was absolutely not about to fall into the trap of having to prove her own innocence.
齐深 hadn’t expected 黎轻轻 to argue so sharply. For a moment, he didn’t know how to respond.

This time, 齐深 had come accompanied by 清长老, a highly respected elder of the Wolf Tribe.

黎月’s expression darkened. The old fox was pretending to be deaf the moment the Northern Icefields were mentioned.
She wasn’t someone easily bullied—otherwise, she wouldn’t have led the Silver Tiger Tribe for so many years.
“So according to you,” 黎月 said coldly, “as long as someone is young, killing others doesn’t matter? My daughter is the same age as him—does that mean she could freely slaughter your people too?”
清长老’s face instantly turned black. “Chief 黎, I’m speaking to you politely. What is the meaning of this?”
Seeing the shift in tone, 齐深 also stepped forward arrogantly.
“Exactly. Is that any way to talk?”
风嗥 could no longer hold back. He transformed into his beast form, let out a thunderous roar, and charged straight at 齐深.
齐深 collapsed to the ground in terror. But 清长老 rushed in front of him, blocking the way.
“Are you insane?! He’s your own younger brother!”

风嗥 had always respected this elder. Seeing him kneeling, his heart softened.
After all, 齐深 was his biological brother. 温情 was already dead—both sides were flesh and blood. How could he not feel pain?
He returned to human form and, as he turned to leave, said to 齐深,
“I won’t kill you today because of Father. I’ll let you live a few more days. But if I ever see you again, I will kill you.”
As he walked away from the crowd, 黎轻轻 wanted to follow him. She was afraid such a blow might drive him to do something reckless.
But 白渊 stopped her. “Let him be alone for a while.”
黎轻轻 thought about it and agreed. 风嗥 had always disliked her anyway—following him now would only make things worse.
After watching this spectacle, 黎月 couldn’t help but clap her hands.
“Aren’t you wolves proud of your loyalty—one partner for life? 风嗥’s mother died early, and I never heard of her giving him a younger brother. Could it be that…”

He stood up and led his people away.
