Chapter 08 …
“ha.”
The red seal on the document had not even dried yet.
A hot, heavy pressure, like a red-hot soldering iron, dug into my flesh.
Sehee bit her lower lip, unable to move. A searing heat gripped her, and each time she pulled away, a cool chill rippled through her.
The room I had just walked out of was separated from the others by only a sheet of paper.
Pain and warmth were repeated like relief and fear, changing order from time to time, like turning the palm of one’s hand over.
“Dong… How is your younger brother…?”
Sehee grabbed Chaido’s shoulder with his relatively free left hand.
“He really doesn’t know anything….”
“I haven’t touched it yet.”
Chaido, who had taken over the throne with the leisurely power of a lazy monarch, answered nonchalantly.
“I’m thinking about what to do.”
It didn’t seem like he was lying. My father and sister were already under Chaido’s protection. At his words, a wave of overwhelming relief washed over me again.
I thought he was better than the guys who would pull my hair and stick their fingers in my hair while making vulgar jokes.
No, to be more honest, I think Chaido has the power to stop them.
“Should I get revenge?”
Chaido picked up one of the photographs scattered across the table and handed it to Sehee. The figures lying on the floor in the blood-reddened photo were unrecognizable.
“This is what will happen to anyone who touches you from now on.”
But I didn’t feel any sympathy for their bloody and miserable state.
“Say it again. Who treated you like trophies?”
“The red-haired woman… and that guy named Prosecutor Kang….”
He burst into laughter at Sehee’s immediate explanation.
“And Dad… please save me too.”
Sehee asked as if he was demanding his rightful right.
“You… will spare my life, right?”
I wanted to test how much Chaido could tolerate me. Chaido was definitely soft on me. Otherwise, he would have killed me right away after I started rambling like that a little while ago.
“If you keep talking like that, it’ll sound like I’m trying to force you to do something because I’m scared.”
“…ah.”
“Is that right?”
“No, no.”
The mind that was trying to loosen up regained its tension.
Chaido is just pretending to be kind, but the A and B parties in this deal were already decided from the beginning.
“I… I’m doing it. Because I want to.”
“Okay. Then we need to take action immediately.”
Still, the warmth in his voice brought tears to my eyes. Chaido’s affectionate demeanor made me feel as if I were truly in love with him.
“He said he would pay off my debts and marry me, so what’s the problem?”
That’s right. Chaido had shown him unparalleled mercy. He’d even saved him from danger moments before. Yet, strangely, his eyes kept burning.
“I feel bad because you treat me like a human being, so I’m thinking of being a little more honest.”
There’s no way out of a battlefield teeming with hungry hyenas. The only way is to be carried away with your throat bitten by a stronger predator.
So, it was as if Chaido was announcing it to those outside the door, telling them to listen carefully. Yoo Se-hee said it was her turn.
“Yeah.”
“If you know how to do it, try to do it well.”
“Huh.”
“So, is this worth it?”
My vision became blurry due to the immense pressure.
“Straighten your legs and stand tall.”
Like a whipped horse, I endured his solo with utmost fervor. Without skill or technique, just with utmost fervor. Even with my bandaged arms, I clung to him. I looked like a young beast with its throat bitten, struggling desperately for survival.
“ha.”
This act itself carries no meaning. It’s simply a pledge of obedience, a bond of alliance, a ritual of entering into his protection and control. It’s like a publicly reconciled enemy shaking hands.
If I do well, I can meet my younger sibling and save my father. Meeting Chaido at the edge of a cliff was a stroke of luck for which I should be grateful.
I closed my eyes tightly and swallowed the increasing pain.
“I think I’m losing interest.”
Chaido muttered briefly, lowering his upper body and bringing his lips together. He licked his lower lip carefully, then used his index finger to lower his chin, creating a gap.
“Huh.”
He stroked my hair as if he were calming an excited animal, then invaded me, licked my saliva-filled mouth, and sucked in my breath.
The pressure of swallowing grew so strong it felt like it was going to tear my tongue out. His large hands cupped my delicate skin and rubbed it in circles.
“Ha… Don’t… Just….”
Suddenly, I felt strange.
After the lightning-like pain, a warm sensation soothed me. The conflicting sensations, so jumbled together, became increasingly indistinguishable.
“Sleep… It’s weird… Yo, wait a minute….”
My stomach began to churn, and the pain slowly faded. Instead, a terrible feeling took its place. I felt like I was becoming accustomed to a sensation I never wanted to tame.
“stop….”
Oh my gosh.
The difference in the body’s response to the change has finally entered deeply.
I felt an inexplicable sense of connection. The pain in my stiff legs seemed to be slowly dissipating.
The wooden frame of the collapsed window rattled.
Sehee no longer moved by effort but by instinct.
The voice of my father, who had said that I should be more careful than anyone else when he reached out with a smile, came to mind, but it was soon consumed by the intense pleasure that Chaido gave me.
“under….”
Sehee, who had been running while hugging Chaido’s neck, suddenly fell down.
“Ah. Good.”
“I should’ve done it sooner instead of just letting you off.” Chaido sighed softly, as if in a good mood. The rise and fall of his throat, as he exhaled his turbid breath, felt incredibly erotic.
The true sense of victory comes when you reap the spoils of war.
Sehee took a deep breath, not letting go of the hand he held onto like a lifeline.
Even as I sensed the danger looming, my jaw trembled, a strange sense of relief washed over me. When the tide turns, the females tend to flirt with the new leader.
A lowlife clinging to power. It seemed like I could at least understand my father’s life, which I couldn’t understand.
Yoo Hyeong-jin lost to Chae-do.
So from now on, I was willing to be his dog in his stead.
***
Sehee, who opened her eyes only in the morning, gently lifted her cheek from the pillow.
I don’t remember returning to my room…
As I tried to get up, a terrible pain surged down.
‘…stop.’
Chaido, who had been eating me from head to toe without leaving a single trace of flesh, continued to get drunk all night without tiring.
‘Yoo Se-hee. Open your eyes.’
‘You’re going alone again.’
‘I was so considerate.’
I kept fainting even though I wasn’t strangled.
It felt like I was being eaten alive, my neck bitten by a starving, hungry beast. Each body part that fell, reacted in its own way.
‘I told you to open your eyes.’
I tried to shake off the sensations etched into my body, recalling the pitch-black voice. It was a feeling I never wanted to experience again.
“Get up. I have to make the bed.”
Secretary Ahn, who entered the room without notice, pulled back the blanket.
“…ah.”
Before I could even begin to look at the contemptuous voice, a deep headache struck me.
“sorry….”
As usual, the apple popped out first.
When I felt below the neck, all I could feel was a thin slip.
Sehee, feeling ashamed of her appearance, covered her body with her hands as much as possible and stepped aside so that Secretary Ahn could tidy up the bedding.
Now everyone in this house knows what I’m for.
It was only natural that the servants would laugh at me. My father betrayed Chaido and tried to flee, his life and death unknown, yet his daughter shamelessly joined his staff and was trying to survive. She even resorted to filthy and degrading acts.
“Why don’t you change your clothes?”
Secretary Ahn no longer hid her emotions. Her words sounded like she was saying she didn’t even know shame.
“If you wake up, eat.”
Sehee, who had been swept away in a panic, turned towards the sound.
“Then you can take the medicine.”
Chaido, wearing a light-colored suit, entered the room, which was still dark.
