Chapter 47. The All-You-Need General Store
Near Small Village, inside a small dungeon—
Two users were hunting goblins.
One was a warrior, the other a mage.
[You have defeated a Goblin.]
[You have gained experience.]
[Beginner Swordsmanship skill experience slightly increased.]
[You have obtained Goblin Hide.]
[You have obtained Goblin Teeth.]
The goblin, slashed by the warrior’s sword, fell lifelessly to the ground as its HP hit zero.
“Phew… Finally dead?”
“Looks like it. Baren, go ahead and butcher it.”
“Got it. Hold on.”
The player called Baren opened his bag and pulled out a butcher’s knife.
In Illusion, monsters didn’t just drop loot automatically — you could also butcher them manually to extract secondary materials.
[You have successfully butchered the Goblin.]
[Butchering skill experience slightly increased.]
[You have obtained additional Goblin Hide.]
[You have obtained additional Goblin Blood.]
“Ugh!”
“What is it?”
“My bag’s full again.”
“Again?”
“Ria, got any space left?”
“Nope.”
Barren sighed deeply.
Everything about Illusion was great—except the tiny bag capacity.
“Seriously, why is the inventory so small? We just went back to town not long ago.”
“Right? Ugh… Guess we’ll have to head back again.”
“No helping it. The bags are full.”
“Man, it really kills the flow. So annoying…”
Their faces were full of frustration.
They had gone through this loop — hunting, filling their bags, returning to town, coming back again — more times than they could count.
“Would it kill them to increase bag capacity? I’d even pay cash for it… seriously, I would.”
The bag issue was one of the hottest topics in the entire game.
Even high-level players had no way to expand inventory space, which led to constant complaints on community boards.
Please! Increase bag slots! Monsters drop too much loot — I can’t carry it all!
I don’t even have room for potions! At least make potions separate items!
Archers, rise up! Do you know how much space arrows take up?! Wake up, TheBlack!!!
Some players even started “parttime jobs.”
Looking for dungeon party? I’ll be your porter! Great pay, just bring your bag!
Hiring 10 porters for a large-scale raid!
No level requirement. Just bring your bag.
Porter work meant carrying items for other players — you didn’t even have to fight, just haul loot around for cash.
It became a popular side job for beginners trying to earn their first gold.
That’s how desperate players were for more space.
But Illusion’s developers refused to budge.
“Where should we go this time? Lethe Village?”
“Eh, we’re just emptying bags. Let’s stop by Small Village — it’s closer.”
“Alright.”
The two headed toward Small Village, planning to quickly dump their junk loot and return to the dungeon.
“Wait… what’s that?”
They stopped, noticing a new building.
“Was there a general store here before?”
“Must be newly built. Look inside — NPCs, items on display…”
“But this building…”
They hadn’t seen many structures in the game, but compared to Lethe Village’s stores, this one looked far more refined.
Same basic size, but the design details — the trim, the structure, the lighting — gave it a distinct high-end feeling.
“Perfect timing. Let’s sell our junk here.”
“Yeah.”
They stepped inside.
Immediately, a smiling NPC greeted them with enthusiasm.
“Welcome~! To the All-You-Need General Store!”
“Da… da-it-so?”
“Pfft…”
The name sounded oddly familiar, and both of them couldn’t help but laugh.
Ria stopped giggling first and looked around the store.
“Wow.”
“It’s actually pretty spacious.”
They couldn’t help but admire it.
The general stores in Lethe Village were small, cramped, and cluttered — messy shelves everywhere.
But this place was bright, organized, and spacious.
Neatly arranged shelves, carefully displayed items — it felt almost luxurious.
“This place is amazing!”
“Right? Man, this is on another level compared to Lethe. Must be because a player built it.”
“The items look fancy too… everything’s so well-organized.”
“Anyway, let’s sell this stuff first.”
“I’ll look around in the meantime.”
While Barren sold his loot, Ria wandered around the store, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.
“Hmm?”
Something on one of the shelves caught her eye — an item she had never seen before in Lethe Village.
“This… is that a bag? Do general stores even sell bags?”
She’d never heard of a general store selling inventory bags.
No mention of it on any forums either.
“Let’s check it out.”
[Traveler’s Bag] — Price: 5 Gold
Grade: C
Description: A bag perfect for travelers! Can carry more items.
Use to upgrade your existing bag.
Requirement: Level 30+Options:
Inventory capacity +20 slots
Carry weight +20%
“Wha—!? What the heck!?”
Ria gasped as she read the options.
“What’s wrong? Why are you freaking out?”
“L-look at this! Hurry!”
Barren, done selling his items, came over with a puzzled look.
Then he saw the stats —
“Holy sh—…”
He stopped mid-word, swearing without even realizing it.
Good thing Ria was too absorbed in the bag to notice.
“A bag upgrade item? And they’re selling it here?”
“For just 5 gold…?”
“That’s a steal! We have to buy it right now!”
“This village is insane!”
The increase wasn’t massive — only 20 extra slots.
But for players starved for space, this was a miracle.
Even a small upgrade meant more time hunting before having to return to town.
Naturally, both players bought the item immediately.
“Ah, I’m sorry,” the NPC said politely. “The Traveler’s Bag is limited to one per person.”
“Oh… is that so?”
“Dang, that’s too bad…”
Still, they left the counter with huge grins on their faces.
Small Village — the once-forgotten town — had just made its mark on Illusion once again.
And it all started with one little general store called All-You-Need.
